    First time flashing Hitachi drive

My experience in this arena is relatively limited. I have noticed a vast amount of information regarding flashing firmware on this website, but have noticed information regarding hitachi drives is scant. I have flashed a ms28 drive for my brother earlier this year (by sheer luck mostly...couldn't recall exact steps), but from my understanding the iextreme 1.51 for hitachi drives utilizes different methods. I am utilizing the same via card that was used for the ms28 and vista x64 for my OS (I guess I'm s.o.l. on jungleflasher right?). I am not sure what software I will require to complete the task and what steps to take (I have not been able to turn up any info regarding hitachi 1.51 flashing) If anyone can steer me in the right direction that would be totally awesome. Thanks!

Yeah, you have to have a 32 bit os to run Jungle Flasher. You could always, if you have a extra hard drive laying around, plug that in, install xp, or, create a partition on your current drive, maybe like 15 gigs or so, that should be enough for xp, and install it.

Now, to answer you second question. First, download the jungle flasher tutorial, and read through the hitachi section, not because I don't want to help you, trust me, we all will help you, but it will help you understand what you need to do.

And the latest ixtreme for the hitachi drive is ixtreme 1.51.

Jungle Flasher tutorial is in my sign.
