    DG-16D2S Flash

    Ive ordered a CK3 mini and ck probe to flash my Liteon DG-16D2S

    On the dvd drive it says FW version 74850C

    I never done a flash before and im on the latest xbox 360 dashboard.

    Ive read something that if i updated the dashboard my fw version is flashed to 02510C

    So do i need to go back to stock fw then flash to ixtreme 3.0 or can i follow this tut and flash straight away?

    And one more question..

    Ive got a Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200S burner.. Will it be possible to burn backups with this burner?

    You'll need to ask your question about flashing in the right section, but I'll answer your question about your burner. The answer is yes and no. Yes it will work for many games, but it won't work for the new ones that are the XGD3 format. They require an extra 200MB of space burned on the disc that's only accomplished with an LG iHas burner (Rev B) flashed with BurnerMax firmware. There are plenty of threads discussing this already. Search away and you will find all your answers!

    Thanks for your fast answer and sorry for posting in the wrong section..

    Could u also answer the question if i have to go to stock fw then flash ixtreme or can i just go straight ixtreme?
