LiteOn iHAS324-32B - Will it work?

I recently flashed a Hitachi, but noticed that it wouldn't read a backup of Skyrim. Before flashing, my Skyrim (not backup) worked completely fine without problems. So after a lot of struggle (it took some time before the idea of trying the original copy popped in my head), I found out the issue. Hitachi's don't read truncated XDG3.
So now... I am wanting to buy a LiteOn burner. I have a few questions.

    1. Does LiteOn iHAS324-32B NEW! SATA DVD-RW work?
    2. Do I have to use Verbatim disks? I recently bought 2x 25 DL pack: Xlayer 8x White Full-Face Printable Dual Layer DVD+R DL (25 Pack) - ModTraders.co.uk
They did mentioned that it had SUPER xbox 360 compatibility (which it does).
    3. Where can I get firmware to flash this drive if this drive does support burning XDG3 games?
If I can't use any disk, I'll guess I'll have to buy the really expensive Verbatime from here in Australia...

    Thanks.

    1. It's an IHAS b revision so it will work fine.
    2. All I can say is try them, likely kprobe will not be good, you probably need verbs.
    3. On the right hand side of the main forum window. Click Burnermax Firmware.
You can find the answer to any flashing question HERE and on the rare occasion that you can't it will definately be HERE

As far as my understanding goes any LiteOn iHas drive with B revision should work. I got an iHas 122B that was crossflashed to iHas 524B. You may also have to cross flash it to ihas 324 B or ihas 524 B as per the firmwares packed in BurnerMax. Make sure you save the origional EEPROM and FIRMWARE of the drive saved before you do anything. But once the drive is crossflashed or flashed with BurnerMax Firmware your chances to use any non verbatim disk would go down and you may end up making few coasters (Non Verbatims) unless you modify the BurnerMax Firmware using MediaCodeEdit. See if you can get any tutorial by googling "Burner Max A Cheap Media Tutorial". Also your PI and PIF values may be high making it unsuitable for Safe online play. Hence Verbatims (Mfd. in SingaPore) are the way to go.

    Thanks for your answers.

So what should I do if I have the media I listed above. It is not popular at all, which inturn means that there is no 'custom' firmware for it. I have 5 TDK DVD DL (I paid $17 for 5 pack). The brand TDK is very good here in Australia. When I put it into the compter, it reads the manufaturer as: Disc ID: RITEK-S04-66.
Is TDK the same as Ritek?
If so, where is the cutomer firmware for Disc ID: RITEK-S04-66?

    Thanks.

I found that the cheaper disk had this ID:
    Disc ID: RICOHJPN-D01-67
Any way I could use them?
